In the Pink City

Raj Overseas took a special trip to Jaipur to get inspired for the season. Jaipur is the capital of the state of Rajasthan in India about 4 hours drive from Delhi.  It is known as the Pink City or the Paris of India.  It has many palaces, forts and temples with alluring architecture and marble work from the 16th century.

The city is filled with hustle and bustle but once you step out to Amber Fort or the Monkey Temple called Galwar Bagh you get to enjoy the landscape and pure peacefulness from the outside.

Jaipur is known for its skilled artisans.  The city's artisans specialize in hand block printing, blue pottery, textiles in bandhani which is a tie dye process and kantha quilts.  The colors and techniques are pure inspiration for the season.  Enjoy!
