Kaleidoscope

A kaleidoscope is a tube-shaped optical instrument that is rotated to produce a succession of symmetrical designs by means of mirrors reflecting the constantly changing patterns made by bits of colored glass at one end of the tube.. The mirrors create repeatable patterns that are very beautiful.  The meaning of the word came from Ancient Greek meaning "observer of beautiful forms".  Textile designers are using this as inspiration for their latest prints. An artist named Agustina Woodgate took recycled stuffed animal skins and hand sewed them together to create unique rugs that resemble kaleidoscope patterns.
